Artist
Željko Joksimović is a Serbian singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, born in 1972, whose music combines pop balladry with Balkan folk elements. He is best known for “Lane moje,” which placed second at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, and “Nije ljubav stvar.” He also composed the contest entries “Lejla” for Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Oro” for Serbia. Željko Joksimović performed “Lane moje” in Istanbul in 2004, then co-hosted the event in Belgrade four years later. He returned as Serbia’s performer in Baku in 2012, where “Nije ljubav stvar” placed third. In 2016 he presented Dva sveta, a concert project based on new arrangements of Yugoslav songs and his own repertoire, at Sava Centar.
