Zhao Chuan is a Taiwanese rock and Mandopop singer, born in Chiayi in 1961. His 1988 debut album, 我很丑，可是我很温柔 (I’m Very Ugly, but I’m Very Gentle), established the direct, high-register vocal style heard in signature songs including 我是一只小小鸟 (I’m a Little Bird) and 爱要怎么说出口 (How Can I Say Love). The 一颗滚石的25年 concert brought him to Taipei Arena in 2014 for a retrospective built around his recorded catalogue. He later followed that performance with another anniversary production, the 时空回旋30 tour.
