Shintenchi Kaibyaku Shudan:Zigzag is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in Osaka in 2015. Its heavy rock sound, comic turns and shrine-inspired mythology are represented on the albums Jigu Jigoku Ichi: Daisakkai, Jigu Jigoku Ni: Shintenchi and Jigu Jigoku San: Mugen. The band bills its concerts as “misogi,” or purification rites, extending its ceremonial imagery into the live format. In 2022, it brought that format to its first solo concert at Nippon Budokan.
