Zoh Amba in Glasgow

Zoh Amba is an American saxophonist and composer from Tennessee, born in 2000, who plays free jazz and improvised music. Her debut album, O Life, O Light, paired her with bassist William Parker and drummer Francisco Mela, while Bhakti featured pianist Micah Thomas, guitarist Matt Hollenberg and drummer Tyshawn Sorey. Zoh Amba played the Vision Festival in New York in 2021, followed by an appearance at Big Ears Festival in Knoxville in 2022. She has also presented solo and small-group performances in club-sized rooms and dedicated arts spaces, including Cafe OTO in London and Roulette in Brooklyn.
