About A Forest Of Stars
A Forest of Stars are an English avant-garde black metal band formed in Leeds in 2007. Their music uses psychedelic and progressive structures, violin, flute and keyboards alongside harsh vocals and spoken passages. The group debuted with The Corpse of Rebirth and developed its Victorian occult world across albums including A Shadowplay for Yesterdays, Beware the Sword You Cannot See and Grave Mounds and Grave Mistakes.
At Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, A Forest of Stars performed its long-form material as a full ensemble, retaining the period costumes and character names associated with the band. The group later brought that theatrical presentation to Prophecy Fest at Balver Höhle.
