Marion Meadows & Brian Simpson in Norfolk

Marion Meadows is an American saxophonist, born in West Virginia and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, who plays smooth and contemporary jazz. Known especially for his soprano saxophone sound, he established his recording career with the album For Lovers Only; later releases include Body Rhythm, Player’s Club and Dressed to Chill. Marion Meadows has performed repeatedly at Berks Jazz Fest in Reading, Pennsylvania, presenting his music with a live band. His festival history also includes appearances at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, for Capital Jazz Fest.

American pianist, composer and producer Brian Simpson plays smooth and contemporary jazz. He is known for melodic, groove-led instrumentals including “It’s All Good” and “South Beach,” while his solo catalog also includes the albums Above the Clouds and Just What You Need. After moving to Los Angeles, Brian Simpson toured as a keyboardist with Teena Marie, Sheena Easton and Janet Jackson. He later performed under his own name at jazz festivals, clubs and concert halls, leading a band from piano and keyboards after years spent shaping concerts as musical director for Dave Koz.
