Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. in Omaha

Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. is a Japanese psychedelic rock group founded in 1995 by guitarist Kawabata Makoto. Its music draws on acid rock, space rock, drone, noise and extended improvisation. The group’s catalog includes the self-titled debut, Pataphysical Freak Out MU!!, La Nòvia and Electric Heavyland. In 2003, Kawabata Makoto collaborated with Gong founder Daevid Allen in Acid Mothers Gong, a related project that toured Britain. Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. has repeatedly toured clubs and festivals across Europe and North America, leaving room in its sets for long improvisations and changing arrangements. The live lineup varies, but electric guitars, bass and drums remain central under the direction of Kawabata Makoto.
