About Against Me!
Against Me! is an American punk rock band formed in Gainesville, Florida, in 1997 by singer and guitarist Laura Jane Grace. Beginning as Grace’s solo acoustic project before becoming a full band, Against Me! became known for albums including Reinventing Axl Rose, New Wave and Transgender Dysphoria Blues, as well as songs such as “Thrash Unreal” and “I Was a Teenage Anarchist.”
In 2009, Against Me! opened North American arena dates on Green Day’s 21st Century Breakdown World Tour. The band later documented performances from its 2014 world tour on the live album 23 Live Sex Acts.
