About Agua Marina
Agua Marina is a Peruvian cumbia group formed by the Quiroga Querevalú brothers in Sechura, Piura, in 1976. Its northern cumbia repertoire includes enduring songs such as “Paloma ajena,” “Tu amor fue una mentira,” “Llama de amor” and “Basta ya, mi amor.”
In 1990, the group performed at Estadio Nacional, marking an early stadium concert for Peruvian cumbia. Agua Marina returned to the ground in 2016 for its 40th-anniversary concert in Lima.
