About Air
Air is a French electronic duo formed in Versailles in 1995 by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. Their downtempo electronic music, ambient textures and pop songwriting became widely known through the album Moon Safari and the songs “Sexy Boy,” “Kelly Watch the Stars” and “All I Need.” They also composed the soundtrack for Sofia Coppola’s film The Virgin Suicides.
Air took Moon Safari on the road after its 1998 release, performing the studio material with additional live musicians. Concerts supporting the Twentyears retrospective in 2017 brought their catalogue back to theatres and festivals. In 2024, they performed Moon Safari in full on an anniversary tour that included the Royal Albert Hall.
