About RJD2
RJD2 is an American producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist known for instrumental hip-hop shaped by soul samples, electronic production and live instrumentation. His 2002 debut album, Deadringer, introduced tracks including “Ghostwriter” and “Smoke & Mirrors”; he also created “A Beautiful Mine,” later used as the theme music for Mad Men.
RJD2 toured behind Deadringer and Since We Last Spoke, recreating his sample-built tracks with turntables, samplers, keyboards and live drums. His solo, multi-instrumental performances have also reached Coachella and Bonnaroo.
