Artists
Alabama Shakes are an American rock and soul band formed in Athens, Alabama, in 2009 and led by singer and guitarist Brittany Howard. Their debut album, Boys & Girls, introduced the songs “Hold On” and “I Found You,” while Sound & Color expanded their sound through tracks including “Don’t Wanna Fight” and its title song. The 2012 touring cycle for Boys & Girls took the band into theatres and major festivals, including Bonnaroo. Touring behind Sound & Color brought them to Coachella and the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2015.
Emily King is an American singer-songwriter born in 1985 and raised in New York City, whose music draws on soul, R&B and jazz-informed pop. Her debut album, East Side Story, arrived in 2007; later releases The Switch, Scenery and Special Occasion include songs such as “Distance,” “Remind Me” and “This Year.” The 2019 Scenery Tour brought Emily King to headline clubs and theatres across North America. Later that year she opened for Sara Bareilles on the Amidst the Chaos Tour, including a concert at Madison Square Garden. She returned to headline dates in 2023 on the Special Occasion Tour.
