Alborosie in The City of Brighton and Hove

Alborosie is an Italian reggae singer, songwriter, musician and producer, born Alberto D’Ascola in Marsala, Sicily, in 1977. He led the band Reggae National Tickets before moving to Jamaica and pursuing a solo career in roots reggae and dub. His best-known recordings include “Kingston Town,” “Herbalist” and “Still Blazing,” while Soul Pirate and Escape from Babylon established his album catalogue. Alborosie has performed at Rototom Sunsplash in Spain and Summerjam in Germany. His touring shows feature the Jamaican backing band Shengen Clan, and that lineup has also appeared at Jamaica’s Rebel Salute.
