About Alexander Rosenbaum

Alexander Rosenbaum is a Russian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Leningrad in 1951. His work draws on bard song, urban romance, chanson, blues and rock; he is known for songs including “Vals-boston,” “Utinaya okhota,” “Au” and “Gop-stop.”

During the 1980s, Rosenbaum performed for Soviet servicemen in Afghanistan and later gave concerts for workers responding to the Chernobyl disaster. In subsequent decades, his voice-and-guitar programs reached major halls, including recurring birthday concerts at Oktyabrsky Concert Hall in St Petersburg and anniversary performances at Moscow’s State Kremlin Palace.
