Alice Phoebe Lou in Ojai

Alice Phoebe Lou is a South African singer-songwriter born in Cape Town and based in Berlin. Her independent catalog spans indie folk, blues and indie pop, including the albums Orbit, Paper Castles, Glow and Child’s Play, and songs such as “She” and “Witches.” Alice Phoebe Lou began performing in Berlin’s streets and U-Bahn stations after moving to the city as a teenager. In 2015, she opened for Rodriguez on his South African tour, then developed a full-band concert format for club, theatre and festival appearances. The live release Live at Funkhaus documents that band performing at Berlin’s Funkhaus.
