Alicia Olatuja in Frankfurt am Main

Alicia Olatuja is an American jazz and soul vocalist from St. Louis. A classically trained mezzo-soprano, she was the featured soloist with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir at Barack Obama’s second presidential inauguration and has recorded the albums Timeless and Intuition: Songs from the Minds of Women. At the 2013 inauguration ceremony, she sang “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” before taking her own repertoire to jazz venues and festivals. She later performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center.
