Stacey Kent is an American jazz singer born in South Orange, New Jersey, known for interpretations of the Great American Songbook, bossa nova and French chanson. Her albums include The Boy Next Door, Breakfast on the Morning Tram and the French-language Raconte-moi...; Breakfast on the Morning Tram features lyrics by Kazuo Ishiguro on its title song and “The Ice Hotel.” Dreamer in Concert was recorded at La Cigale in Paris and released as her first live album. She has also played repeated engagements at Ronnie Scott’s in London, performing with a small jazz ensemble led by saxophonist and long-standing collaborator Jim Tomlinson.
