Allan Taylor in Cheshire

Allan Taylor is an English folk singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist, born in Brighton in 1945. His catalogue includes the song “It’s Good to See You” and the albums Sometimes, The Traveller and Hotels & Dreamers, all centred on narrative songwriting and a restrained acoustic sound. In the late 1960s, he performed in the folk clubs of New York’s Greenwich Village before returning to Britain and establishing a long-running solo career. He subsequently toured folk clubs, theatres and festivals across continental Europe, developing particularly strong ties to audiences in Germany and Denmark. At his solo concerts, Allan Taylor sings and accompanies himself on acoustic guitar.
