Artist
Angelique Francis is a Canadian vocalist, bassist, songwriter and bandleader from Ottawa who plays blues shaped by rock, soul and jazz. Her album Long River won the Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year in 2023. Angelique Francis opened for Buddy Guy on dates of the Damn Right Farewell tour. She leads her own band from electric bass and lead vocals, a format she has brought to Ottawa Bluesfest and the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
