Antony Szmierek in Newcastle upon Tyne

Antony Szmierek is a British poet, songwriter and electronic artist based in Manchester. He delivers conversational spoken-word writing over house rhythms and indie-electronic production, and is known for tracks including “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Fallacy” and “Yoga Teacher,” the EP Poems to Dance To and his debut album Service Station at the End of the Universe. His festival appearances have included Glastonbury Festival and Green Man. He subsequently brought the same combination of spoken word, electronic music and live instrumentation to headline shows at Gorilla in Manchester and Village Underground in London.
