APB in Hamden

APB is a Scottish post-punk band formed in 1979 in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Built around Iain Slater’s vocals and bass, the group is known for the single “Shoot You Down,” the song “What Kind of Girl?” and the singles collection Something to Believe In. APB toured the United States repeatedly during the early 1980s, developing a particularly strong following on the East Coast. The band played clubs there during those visits, including New York’s CBGB.
