Artists
Årabrot is a Norwegian noise-rock band formed in Haugesund in 2001 and centered on guitarist and vocalist Kjetil Nernes. Its music draws on sludge, industrial rock and post-punk; key releases include Solar Anus, The Gospel and Norwegian Gothic. Solar Anus received a Spellemann Award in the metal category. At Roadburn Festival in 2016, Årabrot performed The Gospel in full with an expanded ensemble. The band also brought its score for Fritz Lang’s silent film Die Nibelungen to the stage at the Tromsø International Film Festival.
Buñuel is an Italian-American noise-rock band formed in 2015 by vocalist Eugene S. Robinson, guitarist Xabier Iriondo, bassist Andrea Lombardini and drummer Francesco Valente. Their confrontational mix of noise rock, post-hardcore and experimental music runs through the albums A Resting Place for Strangers, The Easy Way Out, Killers Like Us and Mansuetude. In 2022, Buñuel performed at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg during the touring cycle for Killers Like Us, then played Supersonic Festival in Birmingham later that year. These appearances presented the group as a four-piece built around Robinson’s vocals and Iriondo’s guitar work, backed by the Lombardini-Valente rhythm section at Supersonic Festival.
