Assala Nasri in Newark

Assala Nasri is a Syrian singer born in Damascus in 1969 who performs Arabic pop in Egyptian, Gulf and Levantine dialects. Her adult recording career began with Law Ta'rafou, and her best-known recordings include “Ya Magnoun,” “Aktar” and “Bent Akaber.” Assala Nasri has performed at the Mawazine Festival in Rabat and the Carthage International Festival in Tunisia. She later gave arena concerts at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai and appeared at Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.
