About Atari Teenage Riot
Atari Teenage Riot are a German digital hardcore group formed in Berlin in 1992 by Alec Empire, Hanin Elias and Carl Crack. They set punk vocals against distorted breakbeats, hardcore techno and electronic noise, a sound heard on albums including Delete Yourself!, The Future of War and 60 Second Wipe Out. “Speed,” “Start the Riot!” and “Revolution Action” are among their best-known tracks.
In 1999, the group used an appearance at Brixton Academy for an extended noise performance, later released as Live at Brixton Academy. After a long hiatus, Atari Teenage Riot returned to live performance in 2010 and played a reunion concert at London’s Electric Ballroom.
