About Bad Books
Bad Books is an American indie-rock and folk-rock group formed in 2010 by singer-songwriter Kevin Devine and members of Manchester Orchestra, including Andy Hull and Robert McDowell. The collaboration debuted with the album Bad Books, followed by II and III; “Forest Whitaker” became one of its best-known songs.
Bad Books toured the United States behind the self-titled debut in 2010 and returned to the road after II. The group reconvened for a North American tour supporting III in 2019, and that year recorded a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR Music.
