About Bailter Space
Bailter Space are a New Zealand rock band formed in Christchurch in 1987. Their music is built on distorted guitar, forceful rhythms and post-punk repetition, documented on albums including Thermos, Robot World and Vortura.
During the 1990s, Bailter Space were based in New York and toured through the United States and Europe. They returned to concert stages after releasing Strobosphere in 2012 and later performed at ATP’s I’ll Be Your Mirror in Melbourne.
In the group’s best-known trio configuration, Alister Parker handles guitar and vocals, John Halvorsen plays bass, and Brent McLachlan plays drums.
