About Drop Nineteens
Drop Nineteens are an American shoegaze band formed in Boston in 1990. They are best known for the album Delaware, including “Winona” and “Kick the Tragedy,” and later released National Coma. After reuniting, the band returned with Hard Light, its first album in three decades.
In the early 1990s, Drop Nineteens toured the United States and Europe behind Delaware and National Coma. After reforming in 2022, they returned to the stage in 2024 for their first concerts in about three decades, playing a North American run centered on Hard Light.
Drop Nineteens gave a homecoming performance in Boston and also played New York and Philadelphia.
