Baker Boy in Fitzroy

Baker Boy is an Australian Yolŋu rapper, singer and dancer, born in 1996 and raised in the Arnhem Land communities of Milingimbi and Maningrida. Performing in Yolŋu Matha and English, he became known through songs including “Marryuna,” “Cool as Hell” and “Meditjin,” followed by his debut album, Gela. In 2018, he performed at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. Three years later, he appeared in the pre-match entertainment for the AFL Grand Final at Optus Stadium in Perth.
