BAND-MAID is a Japanese five-piece hard-rock band formed in Tokyo in 2013. Maid-inspired stage attire is paired with intricate guitar work, forceful rhythms and songs including “Thrill,” “Choose Me” and “DOMINATION.” Its albums include Just Bring It and World Domination. Sakura-Con in Seattle hosted the band’s first overseas concert in 2016. The BAND-MAID US TOUR 2022 later took the group through American theatres and clubs, while the 10th Anniversary Tour in 2023 included Lollapalooza Chicago and concluded at Yokohama Arena. The group calls its concerts “okyu-ji,” or servings, extending the maid-café theme into its live terminology. The onstage lineup consists of SAIKI on lead vocals, Miku Kobato on guitar and vocals, KANAMI on lead guitar, MISA on bass and AKANE on drums. The first world tour reached Mexico City and London in 2016. A later US festival appearance at Welcome to Rockville brought BAND-MAID to Daytona Beach.
