About Banda Machos
Banda Machos is a Mexican technobanda group formed in 1990 in Villa Corona, Jalisco. Its brass-led regional Mexican dance music became closely associated with the quebradita movement of the 1990s. The band is known for songs including “La Culebra,” “Al Gato y al Ratón” and “Un Indio Quiere Llorar,” as well as the album Sangre de Indio.
The group performed at the White House during Bill Clinton’s presidency, a notable appearance beyond its usual concert circuit. Banda Machos has also toured extensively on both sides of the border, playing dance halls, theatres, fairs and regional Mexican festivals across Mexico and the United States.
