About Barbra Streisand
Barbra Streisand is an American singer, actor and filmmaker born in Brooklyn in 1942. Her performance in the stage and film versions of Funny Girl established her as a musical-theatre star, while songs including “People,” “The Way We Were,” “Evergreen” and “Woman in Love” became central to her recording career. Her major albums include Guilty and The Broadway Album.
Her 1967 free concert A Happening in Central Park was filmed for television. She returned to touring in 1994 with Barbra Streisand in Concert, including a run at Madison Square Garden. At the turn of the millennium, Timeless opened at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and in 2012 she performed at the newly opened Barclays Center for Back to Brooklyn.
