Ben L'Oncle Soul in Évreux

Ben L'Oncle Soul is the stage name of French singer-songwriter Benjamin Duterde, who was born in Tours in 1984. His self-titled 2010 debut album established his retro-soul sound through songs including “Soulman” and his interpretation of the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” His later records include the Frank Sinatra tribute Under My Skin and the album Addicted to You. Ben L'Oncle Soul performed at North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam in 2011 during the touring cycle for his debut. That period also produced the concert release Live Paris, documenting his work with a live band. His subsequent concerts have paired original songs with material from Under My Skin, a repertoire he has also performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
