About Benjamin Grosvenor
Benjamin Grosvenor is a British classical pianist, born in Southend-on-Sea in 1992. He became the youngest winner of BBC Young Musician in 2004 and later signed to Decca Classics. His recordings include the solo albums Dances and Homages, featuring music by composers including Chopin, Liszt, Ravel and Mendelssohn.
In 2011, Grosvenor made his BBC Proms debut on the First Night at the Royal Albert Hall, performing Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He returned in 2015 to perform at the Last Night of the Proms.
Beyond Britain, he has given recitals at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris.
