Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys in Chicago

Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys are an American roots-music band formed in Anaheim, California, in 1988 by singer Robert Williams, who performs as Big Sandy. Originally billed as Big Sandy and the Fly-Rite Trio, the group plays rockabilly, western swing and country rhythm and blues. Its best-known records include Jumping from 6 to 6, Swingin’ West and Night Tide. The group toured clubs across the United States in the 1990s, then carried its rockabilly and western-swing repertoire overseas on repeated European tours. Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys have also performed at Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend and England’s Hemsby Rock ’n’ Roll Weekender.
