Big Wreck in Pickering

Big Wreck are a Canadian-American hard rock band formed in Boston in 1994 by musicians who met at Berklee College of Music. Led by singer and guitarist Ian Thornley, they became known through the debut album In Loving Memory Of... and songs including “The Oaf (My Luck Is Wasted),” “That Song” and “Blown Wide Open.” After releasing The Pleasure and the Greed, the band split in 2002 and later reunited. Big Wreck reunited in 2010 and returned to Canadian stages in 2012 for a theatre-and-club tour supporting Albatross. The release of Ghosts led to another Canadian run in 2014, performed by the full electric band under Ian Thornley’s direction.
