About Billy & The Kids

Billy & The Kids is an American jam band formed in 2014 by Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann. The original lineup included keyboardist Aron Magner, bassist Reed Mathis and guitarist Tom Hamilton, and the group is known for improvisational concert interpretations of the Grateful Dead songbook and related roots-rock material.

The group made its debut at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester in 2014. It later performed at the 2015 Dear Jerry tribute at Merriweather Post Pavilion, then returned for a pair of 2021 concerts featuring Billy Strings and saxophonist James Casey at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
