About Blackmore's Night
Blackmore's Night is a British-American folk-rock band formed in 1997 by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and singer and lyricist Candice Night. Its music draws on Renaissance and medieval traditions, led by Blackmore's electric and acoustic guitar work and Night's vocals. The group is known for the albums Shadow of the Moon, Under a Violet Moon and Fires at Midnight.
A 2004 concert at Burg Veldenstein in Germany was documented on the live release Castles & Dreams. The group then filmed a 2006 performance at the Olympia in Paris for Paris Moon, followed in 2011 by the Grand Opera House concert released as A Knight in York.
