Blick Bassy Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Blick Bassy is a Cameroonian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in 1974, whose music draws on Bassa traditions, soul and blues. He first recorded with the group Macase before beginning a solo career with Léman. His best-known solo works include Akö, featuring the song “Kiki,” 1958, centred on Cameroonian independence leader Ruben Um Nyobè, and Mádibá.

Bassy performed for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk in Washington in a compact ensemble built around guitar, cello and trombone, reflecting the spare arrangements of Akö. He has also performed at WOMAD Charlton Park.
