About Bloodywood
Bloodywood is an Indian metal band formed in New Delhi in 2016. They play rap metal and folk metal, using heavy guitar riffs, rap, harsh vocals and Indian folk instruments. After beginning with metal versions of pop songs, the band released tracks including “Ari Ari,” “Machi Bhasad” and “Jee Veere,” followed by the debut album Rakshak in 2022.
The 2019 Raj Against the Machine tour took Bloodywood through Europe, included a performance at Wacken Open Air and became the subject of a documentary bearing the tour’s name. The band played Download Festival in 2022 and later mounted the Rakshak USA Tour.
Their concert lineup pairs Jayant Bhadula’s harsh and melodic vocals with Raoul Kerr’s rapping, while guitar and flute are handled by Karan Katiyar.
