About Boikot
Boikot is a Spanish punk-rock band formed in Madrid in 1987. Its music draws on punk, hardcore and ska, while its lyrics frequently address politics and social conflict. The band is known for records including De espaldas al mundo and songs such as “Korsakov,” “Skalasnikov” and “Inés.”
Boikot undertook the Ruta del Che project in the late 1990s, combining performances and recording work during travels through Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. Material from the journey formed a three-part album series and gave the band a substantial live chapter beyond Spain.
The band has appeared repeatedly at Viña Rock and has also performed at Aúpa Lumbreiras.
