BoomBox is an American rock and electronic act formed in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, in 2004 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Zion Godchaux and producer Russ Randolph. Their music draws on blues, psychedelia, house and funk. They debuted with Visions of Backbeat and later released Downriverelectric, Filling in the Color, Bits & Pieces and Western Voodoo. BoomBox build their performances around improvisation, allowing the music to change between shows. They have brought this live format to Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival and Hangout Music Festival.
