About Botch
Botch is an American band formed in Tacoma, Washington, in 1993. The group plays technically intricate hardcore commonly described as mathcore, built around abrupt rhythmic shifts and dissonant guitar work. Its principal releases include American Nervoso, We Are the Romans and the EP An Anthology of Dead Ends.
On June 15, 2002, Botch ended its original run with a farewell performance in Seattle, later released as 061502. In 2022, the band returned for a surprise set at the Spanish Ballroom in Tacoma, followed by reunion touring in North America and Europe during 2023 and 2024. The reunion concluded exactly 22 years after the earlier farewell, on June 15, 2024, at the Showbox.
