Bow Wow Wow in West Hollywood

Bow Wow Wow are a British new wave and post-punk band formed in London in 1980 by manager Malcolm McLaren, who recruited singer Annabella Lwin to perform with musicians drawn from Adam and the Ants. They are best known for their recording of “I Want Candy,” as well as “Go Wild in the Country” and “C·30 C·60 C·90 Go!” Bow Wow Wow played the US Festival in California in 1983, near the end of the original lineup’s first run. Annabella Lwin and bassist Leigh Gorman revived the group for a 1997 reunion tour, and performances from that period appeared on the live album Wild in the U.S.A.
