Gene Loves Jezebel in San Juan Capistrano

Gene Loves Jezebel is a British rock band formed in London in 1980 by twin brothers Jay and Michael Aston, who grew up in Wales. Their music draws on post-punk, gothic rock and new wave, and the band is known for songs including “Desire,” “The Motion of Love” and “Jealous,” as well as the albums Discover and House of Dolls. In the 1980s, Gene Loves Jezebel toured clubs and theatres in Britain and the United States while promoting releases including Promise, Immigrant and Discover. After the brothers stopped working together, the act’s live history divided between separate touring lineups led by Jay Aston and Michael Aston.
