Artist
Bria Skonberg is a Canadian trumpeter, singer and songwriter raised in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Her music draws on early jazz, swing and blues, placing her trumpet and vocals at the center of albums including So Is the Day, With a Twist and Nothing Never Happens. She co-founded the New York Hot Jazz Festival in 2013 and established herself as a bandleader on the city’s club circuit, performing at Birdland. Her festival appearances have included Newport Jazz Festival and Monterey Jazz Festival.
