About Brian Setzer
Brian Setzer is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter, born in Massapequa, New York, in 1959. He is the frontman of the rockabilly trio Stray Cats and the leader of the swing-focused Brian Setzer Orchestra. His best-known recordings include “Rock This Town,” “Stray Cat Strut” and the Orchestra’s version of “Jump, Jive an’ Wail.”
Stray Cats played the US Festival in California in 1983. Setzer later toured concert halls and theatres with the big-band Brian Setzer Orchestra on recurring Christmas Rocks! runs, and took a guitar-led band on Rockabilly Riot! tours under his own name. In 2019 Brian Setzer reunited with Stray Cats for a 40th-anniversary tour tied to the album 40.
