About Camel

Camel are a British progressive-rock band formed in London in 1971. Led by guitarist, flautist and singer Andrew Latimer, they are known for the albums Mirage, The Snow Goose and Moonmadness, as well as the extended composition “Lady Fantasy.”

In 1975, Camel performed The Snow Goose at the Royal Albert Hall accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra. The Farewell Tour followed in 2003, and after illness forced Andrew Latimer to step away from performing, the band returned to the stage in 2013 following his recovery.
