About Car Seat Headrest
Car Seat Headrest is an American indie-rock band led by singer, songwriter and guitarist Will Toledo. Toledo began the project in Leesburg, Virginia, in 2010 and developed it into a full band after moving to Seattle. Its central records include Twin Fantasy, Teens of Denial and Making a Door Less Open, while “Bodys” and “Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales” are among its best-known songs.
Touring behind the 2018 re-recording of Twin Fantasy, Car Seat Headrest performed in an expanded lineup that included members of Naked Giants, who also opened the shows. The following year, the band appeared with Interpol and Snail Mail at Madison Square Garden. The 2022 Masquerade Tour brought the Making a Door Less Open material to North American theatres, and Toledo performed in the Trait mask and costume created for that album cycle.
The band performed at Coachella in Indio and at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound.
