Cat Ballou is a German Kölsch-rock band formed in 1999 in Bergisch Gladbach, near Cologne. The group writes pop-rock songs in the local dialect and is known for “Et jitt kei Wood” and “Hück steiht de Welt still,” both central songs in its carnival-season repertoire. The band marked its 20th anniversary in 2019 with a concert at LANXESS arena. After that arena show, Cat Ballou returned to the city’s carnival stages and presented its Kölsch-language catalogue at open-air concerts at Tanzbrunnen.
