Catherine Lara in Caluire-et-Cuire

Catherine Lara is a French singer, songwriter and violinist, born in Poissy in 1945. She brought her classical violin training into chanson and pop-rock, and is particularly associated with the songs “La Rockeuse de diamants” and “Nuit magique.” Her concert career has included performances at the Olympia in Paris, where her voice and violin lead a full-band format. She also created music for large theatrical productions, including the rock opera Sand et les Romantiques at the Théâtre du Châtelet and Graal at the Palais des Sports.
